Alice in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass by Lewis Carroll
Sadly I purchased this book for my 21st birthday; I've had it for quite some time and just never got around to reading it. Since there is a new Alice in Wonderland movie is in the works and set for release in 2010 I decided it was time to finally read this book. I also watched the SyFy Alice mini-series, which was much better than I expected, made the desire to see the original story just a little bit greater.
Basically this book is crazy. You jump from one place to the next at the author's whim and nothing is ever fully explained. I'm sure if I felt like looking up an explanation for the insanity between these covers I'd have a better understanding of what happened, but I'm lazy and doubt I'll get around to it. But it's still a good book to read if only to touch on a classic or put the Disney version in a better perspective.
